Why our Leads?
Our leads are made from marine-grade double braided line (rope) combined with marine grade 316 stainless clips.
We splice two loops, one for the handle and one for the clip in each line. A splice is designed to hold very high loads for sailing.
All of our leads are load tested to handle the most adventurous dog.

Myla - Head of testing
I am a Siberian husky crossed with a short-haired border collie.
The last 18 months have been spent testing leads, from our first test lead using a whipped loop connection, to our spliced production leads.
I love to get out and test at least twice a day though sometimes I take time off to play in the sea.
Here I have been out testing our tow line, doing the hard work pulling the MD on his bike, he could do a bit more of the work himself though.

What line do we use
We use marine rope made from high tenacity multifilament polyester yarn.
This hard-wearing rope is soft on your hands and doesn't hold water so stays light to carry and easy to clean.
We mostly use 8mm and 10mm rope for our leads. We can provide other rope sizes such as a long training lead where you want less bulk or tow lines.

Splicing and stainless clips
A splice is naturally a very strong and reliable way to create a permanent loop that becomes part of the rope unlike a whipped, stitched or tied loop.
The splice allows us to make the loop any size we want and they look beautiful when done well.
We use stainless snap clips to keep your dog safe and secure. Our clips are marine grade and designed to be quick and easy to attach when sailing so are a breeze to get on your dog.
Warranty and Returns
We provide a 2-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, this does not cover normal wear and tear or damage from misuse.
